In 1995, Ausgang had the first of his “ATM Shows” where he exhibited black and white paintings that sold for $40, the amount of the “Quick Cash” key on many ATMs at the time. Although the price has risen in the intervening decades, Ausgang continues to have ATM Shows at galleries and pop-up events; by his estimation, he has completed over 250 similarly sized black and white paintings. After viewing photographs of the paintings, PIG Records contacted Ausgang to release them as a comic book titled Swizzle. Compiled and graphically laid out by Boise fine artist Damon Bradshaw, Swizzle #1 also features a foreword by Andrew VanWyngarden of the band MGMT.
